The only POS that prints its own margin
Every card reader company takes a margin on your sales. Most bury it inside one blended rate you cannot check. Ours is 0.4% and a cent, printed on every page of this site, on top of Stripe's own published rate.

Work it out
Providers that quote one blended rate have their own margin buried inside it. Ours is the orange slice, and you can size it yourself.

Fees
Every provider adds a margin on top of what the card networks charge, and most fold it into a single blended number so you can't see it. Ours is the 0.4% and the cent. Nothing else comes off a sale.
Paid to Stripe
Stripe's published rate
Set by Stripe, charged by Stripe, visible in your own Stripe dashboard. We never mark it up.
Paid to us
0.4% + 1¢
Per payment, on top of Stripe's rate. The same number in person and on your own online orders.
Payouts
Same day
Instant payouts through Stripe Connect, so you can restock the day you sell. Bank setup takes a few clicks.
Worked example. On a $40 in-person sale, our share is 17¢. Stripe's rate is charged separately and shown on your own Stripe statement, so you can check both numbers against each other whenever you like.
Stripe rates vary by country, card type and payment method. Non-domestic and commercial cards carry different rates — the 0.4% + 1¢ does not change.
Upgrades
The account covers the reader, the app and getting paid. Everything below is a separate upgrade you turn on from the dashboard, and off again the month you don't want it.
A storefront built from the catalogue you already keep, on your own domain, sharing one stock count with the counter.
Your Instagram posts become products in your catalogue, synced as you post. TikTok coming soon.
Accounting packages, local delivery services and other third-party systems, connected to the same sales data.
Digital receipts that collect contacts with consent, then campaigns and loyalty built on top of them.
Each upgrade is priced on its own and billed monthly alongside the account.
The app
Most cheap readers hand you a keypad and stop there. The account includes the products, the stock count and the reporting, on as many devices as you want to run it on.
01 / Selling
Products and variants, refunds, split payments, discounts and digital receipts. Works on the reader, a phone or a browser.
02 / Stock
One catalogue, one stock count. It decrements as you ring up, wherever the sale happened and whichever device took it.
03 / Books
Takings by day, by product and by staff member, with shift reports that reconcile against your Stripe payouts.

If it does not suit you
We would rather you tried it at a real counter than read about it here. If the reader is not right, return it inside thirty days and we refund it, postage included.

Before you buy
Tell us what you sell and how, and we will tell you which reader to buy — including when the answer is that another provider suits you better.
Most-asked, before buying
Answers to all four are in Your first day. If yours is not there, write to us.
A supported account: the POS app on as many devices as you like, your catalogue, stock and reporting, and the ability to get paid. The store, the marketplace and the integrations are separate upgrades.
Because a free account is paid for somewhere else, usually in the transaction rate. We would rather charge five dollars and keep our cut at 0.4% and a cent.
Onboarding and bank details run through Stripe Connect and take a few minutes. Most merchants sell on the day the reader arrives.
Payouts run through Stripe and can be instant, so you can restock the same day you sell.
On any reader bought together with the plan, on the shop kit, and on multi-site orders over $1,000 of terminals.
Any month. The reader is yours — you bought it, you didn't rent it — and your sales history stays exportable.
That's a reader, an account and your first card payment. Shipping is free when you buy the two together.
